YouTube Video Feature Agreement
This is the agreement you accept when you submit a video to be featured on the HobbyScool YouTube channel. Please read it before you fill out the submission form.
1. Who this agreement is between
This agreement is between HobbyScool LLC, a Georgia limited liability company ("HobbyScool," "we" or "us"), and you, the instructor submitting a video ("you").
2. What this agreement covers
It covers everything you send us through the submission form, including your video, project title and description, supply list, free gift name and link, website and social links, finished project photo and headshot. We call all of that your "Content" in this agreement.
3. You keep ownership
You own your Content. This agreement doesn't transfer ownership to HobbyScool. It gives us permission to use it the ways described below.
4. The permission you're giving us
You give HobbyScool a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission, with no end date, to:
- Publish your video on the HobbyScool YouTube channel and keep it posted.
- Edit your video for length, sound and picture quality, and add HobbyScool intros, end screens, captions, titles, descriptions and thumbnails.
- Make short clips, images and quotes from your video and share them on HobbyScool's social media accounts, website and emails to promote the video and HobbyScool.
- Use your name, business name, photo, headshot, voice and likeness as they appear in your Content, in connection with the uses above.
This permission stays in place unless your video is taken down under section 9.
5. Ad revenue and payment
HobbyScool may earn ad revenue and other income from your video, including YouTube ad revenue. You're not paid for your video and you don't receive any share of that revenue. What you receive is the promotion described on the program page, including your free gift, website and social links in the video description.
6. Your video stays exclusive to HobbyScool on YouTube
Your video has to be made new for HobbyScool. You agree not to post the same video, or a substantially similar version of it, on YouTube anywhere else, including your own channel. You're welcome to share the link to the video on the HobbyScool channel anywhere you like.
7. What you promise us
By submitting, you promise that:
- You created your Content, or you have every right and permission needed to let HobbyScool use it the ways described in this agreement. That includes any pattern, design, template, artwork, photo or other material shown or taught in your video.
- Your video has no copyrighted music or other material you don't have the rights to use.
- Anyone else who appears in your video has given you permission to include them.
- Your free gift is free, with no purchase required, and it doesn't break any law.
- The information you give us is accurate.
If someone makes a claim against HobbyScool because one of these promises wasn't true, you agree to cover HobbyScool's costs from that claim, including reasonable legal fees.
8. HobbyScool's choices
Submitting a video doesn't guarantee it will be published. To be published, your video has to follow the video script and meet the recording checklist on the program page at hobbyscool.com/youtube-feature, and it has to meet HobbyScool's standards for sound, picture and teaching quality. HobbyScool reviews every video and decides whether and when to publish it. We may ask you for changes before we publish, and we may decline a video that doesn't meet these requirements. We may also remove a video from our channel at any time.
9. Asking us to take your video down
You can ask us to take your video down at any time by emailing partnerships@hobbyscool.co. We'll remove it from the HobbyScool YouTube channel within 30 days of your request. We won't be required to remove clips or posts that were already shared on social media or in emails before your request, but we'll stop making new ones.
10. If HobbyScool changes ownership
HobbyScool may transfer this agreement, and the permission you've given us, to anyone who buys or takes over HobbyScool or its YouTube channel. If that happens, this agreement continues with the new owner on the same terms.
11. The rest of the details
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. It's the full agreement between you and HobbyScool about your video. If any part of it can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
12. How you accept
You accept this agreement by checking the agreement box on the submission form and typing your full legal name in the signature field. Your typed name counts as your electronic signature, and the date and time of your submission are recorded with it.
